We are excited to welcome Meredith Boyd, PhD, who joins us as a Research Assistant Professor in the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Department of Medical Social Sciences (MSS), Division of Implementation Science.
Meredith holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a focus on implementation science as a methodology to improve the quality and accessibility of mental health care.
Before joining us, Meredith was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science, where she worked on various impactful projects. These include examining the implementation of contingency management in community-based substance use programs and supporting quality improvement teams at Northwestern Medicine to use implementation science methods in their work.
In MSS, Meredith will join the Beidas team and will lead efforts to evaluate the rollout of collaborative care across Northwestern Medicine, a project aimed at expanding equitable access to mental health services. This initiative aligns closely with her personal and professional goals of improving mental health care on a large scale.
In addition to her academic accomplishments, Meredith received her department’s Dissertation Award and is currently pursuing hours toward licensure as a practicing psychologist. Her dual identity as both a clinician and researcher drives her passion for supporting the mental health workforce, a perspective they believe makes their research more impactful.
We look forward to the contributions Meredith will make in advancing equity, innovation, and impact in health, both through her research and as a valued member of our community. Welcome Meredith!
